Beta

I went beta, as I'm sure you can tell.

So far, all I did was pick a new template, and email with Sarah Louise about it. I am knitting a new thing (finally!.... though it isn't the hat-for-dad that is due next Monday morning, for Xmas and all... its the one thing that he asked for, and I'm being a slacker!)

If anyone has tips for how to get buttons and my Flickr! badge back into my sidebar, I'd appreciate it, otherwise, I'll sort it out this week.

Questions I'm wondering about:
  • What am I supposed to talk to the psychiatrist/therapist about?
  • Does Blue Moon have a higher alcohol content than other beers?
  • What is an "emergent" church? Is that code for liberal? Or is there a doctrinal difference?
  • When is the best time to bring the gifts for my boss' grandkids to work for him to take home? Tomorrow? next Friday? Sometime in between? Drop them off at the house?
  • I have an awesome pair of yellow plastic vintage needles that were my grandma's... how do I get another pair, in different sizes? I love the tips.
  • Will my mittens come this week?
that is all.

I looked it up on my own, Blue Moon is 5.4% alcohol by volume, which appears to be pretty middle of the pack. Also, it turns out that it is made by Coors. My parents' first date started by sharing a 6-pack of Coors that my mom brought back from Colorado, which was a big deal in Minneapolis at the time.

peg said there was a control that controlled the added things. So it should be there...

I would look on ebay for more vintage needles. They can be found!

Congrats on going beta! :)

My mittens came! Of 6 original questions, there are answers in the comments here for 4 of them!

Good questions!! I like the new template, btw.

Lorinda's link is a good one on Emergent. Actually, our emergent church is pretty conservative. Emergent is more the style, the framework, than the belief--which is why its proponents tend to call it a "conversation." I'm sure that brings up more questions than it answered...

Generally, I just tell my therapist what's going on in my life that I'm trying to sort out. The first visits tend to be about your history. Why you want to come, what your life is like, etc.

I think if you go to Customize, you'll see a mock up of your template. Click on one of the "add a page element" buttons and one of your choices is logo. That's how I have the Blogger logo on my site. Nevermind, that's just for a Blogger logo. Okay, but I think one of the "page elements" should be able to allow you to add Flicker! back on. And if Yahoo! bought them, you'd think they would understand about the !! since they have one in their name...

Oh, have I rambled too long? I must be needing coffee.
