For all you scenery nerds...

How many nails are in a flat?

Post your response in the comments.... I'll post what I believe to be the correct answer tomorrow.

Happy Ayyam-i-Ha! Yesterday my Baha'i study group (Ruhi Book 1) visited the House of Worship in Wilmette in the morning. Then, in the afternoon, my friend Lacey had an Ayyam-i-Ha yarn exchange party. It was lots of fun. We had a much-too-cooperative yarn exchange (which happens when you put Baha'is and their friends together in a game that is supposed to have stealing from others) with 19 lots of yarn to swap and trade amongst 9 people.

I put in a skein of handspun and rainbow (Kool-Aid) dyed yarn and a lot of two skeins of handspun-by-me and handdyed-by-Lacey celery colored yarn. I went home with two skeins of shetland yarn, one red (called Laquer) and one brown (called Moss, I think), a skein of thin novelty-ish yarn that is red and brown and pretty and a ball of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran in a deep brown color.

My birthday is coming up in about a month, and I think that it is not-so-cool to throw myself a birthday party, but at the same time, I think that it would be lots of fun to have a party with a yarn exchange component. I would like to do it with two swaps, one would be for everyone to bring one lot of 1-3 skeins of good yarns that they would like to get or give as a real gift, and the other would be a white elephant yarn exchange, when you bring your acrylics, fun fur and other abominations of yarn purchases. Can you tell that I'm a bit of a yarn snob?

Break's over. Back to work.

Keep Smiling! =)
